Lukashenka Dismissed Energy Minister

Earlier, the dictator lambasted the Ministry of Energy.

Uladzimir Patupchyk, Energy Minister of Belarus, has been relieved of his post. The corresponding decree was signed by Lukashenka. BelTA reports this with reference to the dictator's press service.

Uladzimir Patupchyk was born in Svetlahorsk in 1958. From 2006 to 2009, Patupchyk was Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, then worked in the Council of the Republic, after which he became Minister of Energy in 2013.

Addressing Belarusian people and the National Assembly with the recent message, Lukashenka criticized severely the Ministry of Energy:

– You have heard how the Minister of Energy and the Ministry go about their work. Even the big bosses of God knows what concerns took to the bottle in so much that they forgot to go to work. And as soon as they were thrown out into the street (it was high time to do that), the defenders ranged from the prime minister to the housewives came running to the president in order to protect them. Until we called their attention to the problems that exist there. I reproved them with good reason. Look after what you drink, how much and with whom," – the ruler said.

Later, it became known that Yauhen Voranau, General Director of Belenerha, had lost his post.
